Fish Scale Cardigan is a lovely and colorful cardigan, knitted top-down. The cardigan features a round neckline and a beautiful fish scale pattern on the back and front.

The cardigan is knitted in Handdyed Woolly Merino from the top, beginning with the back piece and then one front piece at a time.

The back starts with short rows to shape the shoulders, followed by increases for the armholes and finishes with a ribbed edge. Next, the front pieces are knitted one at a time, also with short rows, armhole increases, and a ribbed edge, just like the back. The side seams are sewn together, and stitches are picked up for the sleeves. The sleeve cap is shaped using short rows, after which the sleeve is worked in the round with decreases along the underside and finished with a ribbed cuff. Finally, a narrow rib is knitted along the front edges and neckline.

The front and back feature a lovely fish scale pattern in intarsia/tapestry knitting. The pattern is knitted following a chart. The instructions do not specify exactly which colors are used where, so use your imagination or let randomness guide you.
