Fisherman Cat
This pattern only uses basic crochet stitches and is suitable for amigurumi beginner who is comfortable with handling small crochet parts. There are 9 pages of detailed instructions with 16 photos to help you complete the cat . You will be using these techniques in this pattern:
-Crocheting in continuous round
-Forming a magic ring
-Handling of small crochet parts
-slip stitch (ss)
-chain stitch (ch)
-single crochet (sc)
-single crochet increase (sc inc)
-single crochet decrease (sc dec)
Using fingering yarn with 2.5mm hook will produce a cat of about 8.3cm/3.2in tall and 5.1cm/2in wide. You can use a thicker yarn to make a larger cat or use a thinner yarn to make a smaller cat.
You will need the following materials for this project (based on fingering yarn):
-White yarn
-Tan yarn
-Dark brown yarn
-Pink yarn
-Red yarn
-Black yarn
-Safety Eyes 5mm x2 (use a bigger size if you are using a thicker yarn)
-Black embroidery thread
-Stuffing
-Crochet Hook 2.5mm (or a hook size suitable for your yarn)
-Yarn needle
