The pattern was based on a stitch called the “Farrow Rib. Other Farrow Rib patterns are available online for free and typically use a P1 (K2, P1) for the wrong side rows. I chose not to do this so the scarf would be symmetrical. I used recycled yarn from a Goodwill sweater to make this beautiful scarf for my father’s birthday. He’s an avid sailor and fisherman so I wanted to knit him something traditional, practical and warm.
