Fishermans Rainbow scarf
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
Two-colour fishermans rib makes an interesting pattern of vertical stripes, which look different on each side. This scarf pattern includes a photo tutorial for 2-colour Fishermans Rib, to make a reversible scarf which is knitted conventionally from side to side, but has stripes along the length.
This double-sided rib is particularly effective with long-repeat self striping yarns such as Noro Kureyon. My scarf is about 25cm wide and 220cm long, unblocked, and took approx 4 skeins of yarn (I was using up half-skeins and oddments so this is estimated) – 2-3 skeins will probably be ample for a decently-sized scarf.
You’ll need:
* 2-3 skeins of Noro Kureyon (or similar) in contrasting colours
* Two size 8-10 double-pointed needles, or a size 8-10 circular needle
