This pattern is available from etsy.com for £3.78.

Knitting pattern for an adorable 4 ply baby cardigan for boys or girls. The bottom edge is worked in a fishtail lace pattern that is suitable for an intermediate knitter (or an adventurous beginner because it’s much easier than it looks!).

The cardigan is worked in one piece to the armholes, meaning there’s less making up to do. The fishtail lace pattern gives a slightly wavy edge on the body and is repeated around the bottom of the sleeves. The button bands are worked in garter stitch and the main body in stocking stitch. The raglan sleeves give a lovely fit across the shoulders. It requires varying amounts of 4-ply yarn, 5-6 buttons and a pair of 2.75 and 3.25 needles.

Although it is illustrated in a dusky pink, instructions are also given for a boys’ version, so imagine it in a soft pale blue or striking navy.

Instructions given for sizes 12 to 20 inch chest, taking the pattern from premature or early newborn babies, right up to 12-18 months. Supplied as an instant pdf download.

PLEASE NOTE - the cardigan is displayed on a knitted baby mannequin. The pattern for this is also available on the British High Sewciety Etsy store.
