The FIT YA! Summer Top is a diagonal garter stitch garment that has structure and great drape for a flattering fit. The color changes give you blocks of color to use as you like. It can be done in 2 colors or 3 colors.
It is knit in four pieces that are all the same with the exception of color placement.
It knits well in DK or WW yarns. The blue and white top featured in the pattern was knit with cotton blend in a WW, Berocco Modern Cotton. A 100% cotton yarn in a DK weight (almost felt like sport weight) was used for the tri-colored top. Use the needle size that is recommended for your yarn choice. The needle size was chosen to suit the yarn. Two simple measurements determine how many stitches and how many rows you knit.
The blue and white one, made with WW Berocco Modern Cotton and in a size extra large used almost all of four 100 gram skeins.
The tri-colored was knit in DK weight 100% cotton and used 5, 100 gram skeins, 2 of pink, 2 of yellow and 1 in neutral gray for a medium size that is longer. You choose your desired width and length for your shape.
