This is a rare loom knit beanie pattern that does not use the gathered bind off method that leaves the dreaded bumps at the crown of the hat! You’ll create a smooth, round beanie without the obvious signs that it was made on a loom. This project is knit all in one piece. No seam to sew!

Very detailed instructions including pictures. This is very stretchy and will fit most teens and adults but modifications are included in the instructions on how to make it and longer/shorter.

The pattern is written for any large gauge loom with at least 25 pegs using #5 bulky weight yarn. A 5/8” gauge loom is ideal. At the end of the detailed instructions is a shortened set of instructions to refer to once you are familiar with the details.

This pattern is for any loomer who knows the basics. Casting on, U-wrap knit, E-wrap knit, purl and binding off are the only skills necessary. No confusing abbreviations are used and no special pattern knowledge is needed.
