ENGLISH

Fitu is a yoke sweater with stranded colourwork and it’s knitted from the top down. It has 9 women sizes and 8 men sizes. The yoke is very easy – no more than two colours per round and it’s possible to knit it without needing to catch any floats. This sweater is knitted in the round without any seams. After knitting the yoke the sleeve stitches are put on hold while you finish the body and then recovered to knit them from the underarm to the cuff.

The pattern includes a document with more than 50 colour combinations to make it easier for you to make the perfect sweater.

There’s a matching Fitu hat and cowl pattern.

MATERIALS
• 4 mm (US6) circular needles, 80 cm / 32” long for the body and sleeves (using the magic loop method). Adjust if necessary to achieve gauge – see below. If you tend to knit colourwork a bit tight, you should go up a needle size for that section.
• 3.5 mm (US4) circular needles or two sizes smaller than the main needles for the ribbing.
• Markers, tapestry needle and waste yarn to put the sleeve stitches on hold.

GAUGE
20 stitches and 28 rounds in 10 cm // 4 inches with the larger needles in stockinette stitch, after blocking.

YARN
Sport or DK weight yarn (235-300 m / 257-328 yards in 100 g) in 4 colours. I used Rauwerk No2 100% Merino (300 m / 328 yards in 100 g) for the woman’s version and DLana* Madrilana DK (235 m / 257 yards in 100 g) for the man’s version. Please take into account that although the Rauwerk yarn is classified as sport weight, it knits closer to a DK weight.

Main colour (MC): shown in the Quarz colourway (pale grey) in the woman’s version and 15 Azul Firmamento (dark blue) in the man’s version.

ESPAÑOL

El Fitu es un jersey con canesú de colourwork (punto Jacquard) que se teje del cuello hacia abajo. Tiene 9 tallas para mujer y 8 para hombre. Es un canesú sencillo ya que nunca se usan más de dos colores por vuelta y es posible tejerlo entero sin tener que “atrapar” las hebras por detrás en ningún momento. Es un jersey tejido en circular sin costuras. Después de tejer el canesú se ponen las mangas en espera mientras se teje el cuerpo y luego se recuperan los puntos para tejer las mangas.

Hay un gorro y cuello Fitu a juego.

El patrón incluye un documento con más de 50 combinaciones de colores para que encuentres tu jersey perfecto.

MATERIALES
• Agujas circulares de 4 mm y 80 cm de largo para el cuerpo y para hacer las mangas con el método magic loop. Ajustar el número de aguja si es necesario para conseguir la misma tensión que el patrón – ver más abajo. Si tiendes a tejer el colourwork apretado, se recomienda subir medio número de aguja para esa sección.
• Agujas circulares de 3,5 mm (o dos medidas menos que las agujas principales) de doble punta o circulares de 40 cm para el cuello y 80 cm para el elástico del cuerpo y los puños (haciéndolos con el método magic loop).
• Marcadores, aguja lanera y lana de desecho para poner los puntos de las mangas en espera.

TENSIÓN
20 puntos y 28 vueltas en 10 cm con las agujas más grandes en punto jersey, en circular, después de bloquear.

LANA
Lana de grosor sport o DK (250-300 m en 100 g) de 4 colores. Yo usé Rauwerk No2 100% Merino (300 m en 100 g) para la versión de mujer y DLana* Madrilana DK (250 m en 100 g) para la versión de hombre. Ten en cuenta que aunque la lana Rauwerk está clasificada como grosor sport, es una lana cardada y se teje casi como un grosor DK. Si eliges una lana de grosor sport, asegúrate de que es más bien gordita: no más de 300 m en 100 g e, idealmente, cardada.
