ENGLISH

I have designed the Fitu hat and cowl to match the Fitu sweater. They are simple colourwork accessories that never use more than two colours per row and have easy-to-memorise repeats to avoid having to check the charts constantly. They are both knitted in the round, without seams, from the bottom up.

MATERIALS
• 4 mm (US 6) circular needles. 40 cm / 16” long for the hat and 60 cm / 24” long for the cowl. Adjust the needle size if necessary in order to match the gauge given below.
• 3.5 mm (US 4) (or two sizes smaller than the main needles) for the ribbing.
• Markers and tapestry needle. Optional: 85 mm pompom maker.

SIZES AND DIMENSIONS
The hat has two sizes: 1 (2).
The final dimensions are 48 (52) cm / 18.75” (20.5”) circumference and 24 cm / 9.5 inches long.

The cowl is one size only and it measures 28 cm / 11” wide and 30 cm / 11.75” tall.

GAUGE
20 stitches and 23 rounds in 10 cm / 4” with the larger needles, in colourwork after blocking.

YARN
Sport or DK weight yarn in 4 colours. I used Rauwerk No2 100% Merino (300 m en 100 g). Please take into account that even though the Rauwerk is classified as a sport-weight yarn, it knits like a DK.

Main colour (MC): shown in Quarz (light grey).
Hat: 50 (60) m. Cowl: 115 m.
Contrasting colour 1 (CC1): shown in Alpen-Klee (pink).
Hat: 20 (25) m. Cowl: 32 m.
Contrasting colour 2 (CC2): shown in Alpen-Aurikel (yellow).
Hat: 20 (25) m (you will need extra for the pompom). Cowl: 25 m.
Contrasting colour 3 (CC3): shown in Graphit (dark grey):
Hat: 60 (70) m. Cowl: 95 m.

He diseñado el gorro y cuello Fitu a juego con el jersey Fitu. Son prendas de colourwork (punto Jacquard) sencillas ya que nunca se usan más de dos colores por vuelta y son repeticiones fáciles de memorizar sin tener que seguir el gráfico en todo momento. Ambos se tejen en circular, sin costuras, de abajo hacia arriba.

MATERIALES
• Agujas circulares de 4 mm. Para el gorro 40 cm de largo. Para el cuello 60 cm de largo. Ajustar el número de aguja si es necesario para conseguir la misma tensión que el patrón – ver más abajo.
• Agujas circulares de 3,5 mm (o dos medidas menos que las agujas principales) para los elásticos.
• Marcadores y aguja lanera. Opcional: máquina de hacer pompones de 85 mm.

TALLAS Y MEDIDAS
El gorro tiene dos tallas: 1 (2). Las medidas finales, si te coincide la tensión, serán 48 (52) cm de circunferencia y 24 cm de largo.

El cuello es de talla única y mide 28 cm de ancho y 30 cm de largo.

TENSIÓN
20 puntos y 23 vueltas en 10 cm con las agujas más grandes en el punto del colourwork y, en circular, después de bloquear.

LANA
Lana de grosor sport o DK (250-300 m en 100 g) de 4 colores. Yo usé Rauwerk No2 100% Merino (300 m en 100 g). Ten en cuenta que aunque la lana Rauwerk está clasificada como grosor sport, es una lana cardada y se teje casi como un grosor DK.

Color principal (CP): se muestra en el color Quarz (gris claro).
Gorro: 50 (60) m. Cuello: 115 m.
Color de contraste 1 (CC1): se muestra en el color Alpen-Klee (rosa). Gorro: 20 (25) m. Cuello: 32 m.
Color de contraste 2 (CC2): se muestra en el color Alpen-Aurikel (amarillo). Gorro: 20 (25) m (necesitarás extra si quieres hacer el pompón) . Cuello: 25 m.
Color de contraste 3 (CC3): se muestra en el color Graphit (gris oscuro): Gorro: 60 (70) m. Cuello: 95 m.
