The Five Colors Cardigan features a stripy body, using the main color and four more colors. In contrast to the colorful body, the hem, the front band and the sleeves are worked solely in the main color. Ribbed sleeves provide a sporty touch. Inset pockets with plain-colored pocket linings are worked as you go. Buttons and buttonholes along the front bands allow the cardigan to be worn open or closed. The cardigan is worked from the top down in one piece with no seams. First the body is completed, with increases at the hips creating slight A-Line shaping. After finishing the body, stitches are picked up along the fronts and across the back neck for the front bands, which are worked horizontally. Finally, stitches are picked up around the armholes for the sleeves. Each sleeve cap is formed with short rows, then the sleeve is worked top down seamlessly in the round.

Die Five Colors Cardigan, übersetzt „Fünf Farben Jacke” ist eine gestreifte Jacke mit Streifen bestehend aus einer Hauptfarbe und vier Kontrastfarben. Als Kontrast zu dem bunten Body werden Bündchen und Blende sowie die Ärmel einfarbig in der Hauptfarbe gestrickt. Die Ärmel in einem Rippenmuster verleihen der Jacke ein sportliches Aussehen. Die Taschen mit einfarbigen Taschenbeuteln in einer der Kontrastfarben werden direkt mitgestrickt. In die Blende sind Knopflöcher eingearbeitet, so dass die Jacke durch die Knöpfe auch geschlossen getragen werden kann. Die Jacke wird von oben nach unten (top down) ohne Nähte gestrickt. Zunächst werden Vorderteile und Rückenteil – mit Zunahmen für die Hüfte für eine leichte A-Linie – fertiggestellt. Die Blende wird nachträglich angestrickt. Für die Ärmel werden Maschen rund um das Armloch aufgenommen. Die Armkugel wird mit verkürzten Reihen gestrickt, anschließend werden die Ärmel in der Runde fertig gestrickt.
