Five Fancy Stitches for Mufflers: Triangle Stitch
Out of print.
This pattern was
available for free.
This is one of five fancy stitches for mufflers as described in Nicoll’s book. The eight-row pattern repeat is easy to follow, stitches cast on are divisible by 9, and the right-angle triangles created with knits and purls are completely reversible, so the finished scarf looks good on both sides. Pattern can be scaled up or down with different yarns, needles, and number of stitches cast on (again, as long as it’s divisible by 9, you’re golden).
Pattern is on pp. 40-42 of the PDF, the link for which can be found on the archive page under the name “Nicoll, Maud Churchill.”
