Five Fingers Necklace
This striking necklace, made with gold thread and turquoise seed beads, is one of my favorites. When I can’t decide whether I want to wear a short or long necklace, it’s the perfect solution. The five chains in the piece, for me, represent the five people in my immediate family. Just as each family member is distinct but united to the others, so too are the chains in this necklace. To make a simple set, see the Turquoise Hoop Earrings (pages 92-94).
Materials:
Gold metallic thread, about 11yd (10m)
532 turquoise seed beads, size 6°
Gold-plated 5-strand box clasp
Scissors
Multipurpose glue
