And…we’re back!
Due to a sudden demand for spring themed mittens, this pattern has been resurrected. Enjoy!

These stranded colourwork mittens are part of the floral themed “Vintern väntar-vantar” set. “Fjolårsljungen” is the smallest size and fits ages 3-5 (measurements below).

The pattern pdf comes in two versions: an 8-page full colour one for online reading and a 4-page black and white version for printing. Buyers have access to both.

The mittens are knitted in the round, on 2.5mm (US 1.5) and 2mm (US 0) double pointed needles OR the sizes you need to obtain a gauge of 31/32.

The recommended yarn is Onion No. 4 Organic Wool + Nettle, which is super soft and has a lovely shine from the nettle fibers. You may of course use a different DK yarn, as long as you get the gauge right. Using the suggested yarn you’d need a maximum of half a skein of four colourways plus a very small amount of a fifth.

To finish the project you’ll also need two stitch markers, a stitch holder, a pair of scissors and a tapestry needle.

Happy knitting, and don’t forget to check out the other mittens in the series!

NB! Unlike the other mittens in the series, “Fjolårsljungen” doesn’t come with instructions for a finger slit.

A finished mitten is 22 cm/8.7 inches long, with a circumference of 18.5 cm/7.3 inches around the hand.
