My indie yarn brand, Dye Candy, is turning a decade old and I have wanted to do something special to mark the occasion.
I decided to design something that most people could make, and a design that represents both my style and my business branding. Flames are a classic, particularly for the Elder Emos among us, and there’s a little nod to my business as yarn needs heated to fix the colours.

This design features a twisted stitch ribbing and is worked seamlessly in the round, meaning you could can add an extra repeat for a bigger size if desired.

The colour options really are endless! I normally don’t like to use anything except solids for colourwork as I feel you lose the design, but with the sections being so large and clear, this isn’t a problem (though I would recommend using variegated for only one of the yarns).

Dye Candy Super Sock in Reaper/Glacier & Seriously Green/Carnage (212m per 50g skein)
Dye Candy Krypton DK in Nightmare/Seriously Orange (225m per 100g skein)

Fingering weight requirements:
2.5 & 3mm 50 or 60cm circular needles
C1 (flames): 170m
C2 (background): 190m

DK weight requirements:
3mm & 3.5mm 50 or 60cm circular needles
C1 (flames): 140m
C2 (background): 150m
