Flamboyance Flamingos
Flamboyance Flamingos is a participatory art project organised by Access2Arts, a disability led organisation, creatively removing barriers to the arts and providing arts opportunities for people with a disability.
This is a collaborative project, with participants given the choice to send their Flamingo along to be included in an exhibition of the work. The aim of this project is to provide a way for people from various communities to connect and help create art while dealing with the impact of the COVID 19 virus.
Flamboyance is part of the 2020 Adelaide Feast Festival, an LGBTQIA+ Festival celebrating the LGBTQIA+ Community.
Flamboyance Flamingos can be made with any gauge yarn and are perfect for using up the scraps of yarn left over from bigger projects. The flamingos were designed to be quick to make and easy to send for inclusion in the exhibition.
