Flamboyant hat is now available as a single download.
It was first published in “Stitchooine” e-book.
“Stitchooine” is a collaborative work with Mathieu Arnold, an other french designer.
We have worked on a collection of six patterns inspired by our journey on Stitchooine as stitches Master.
Stitchooine is a mysterious planet from the Knit sphere where live strange creatures and with so many variety of flowers and plants.

Flamboyant is a beanie that plays with textures where buds and flowers bloom.
You’ll find plenty of fun with ribbing, wheat stitch, cross stitch, nopple or embroidery.
It’s a very satisfying project, technical but quick. For the finishing touch you can add a pretty pom-pom.

You will need between 200 and 250 metres of yarn (including the pom-pom) to make it. For my version I used a sport yarn but after feedback I recommend a fingering yarn (it seems I knitted my prototype particularly tightly).
The different sizes are obtained by playing with the needle sizes and the sample.

Le bonnet Flamboyant, initialement publié dans l’e-book Stitchooine“, est maintenant disponible en téléchargement à l’unité. L’e-book “Stitchooine” a été crée en collaboration avec Mathieu Arnold.
Les six patrons sont inspirés par notre voyage en tant que Maîtres des mailles sur la planète Stitchooine. Cette dernière, située aux confins de la Knit sphère, est recouverte d’une luxuriante végétation où se côtoient d’étranges créatures.

Flamboyant est un bonnet qui joue avec les textures où se côtoient bourgeons et fleurs écloses.
Vous y trouverez de quoi vous amuser avec les côtes en mailles torses, le point de blé, les mailles croisées, les noppes ou la broderie.
C’est un projet très satisfaisant, technique mais rapide. Pour la touche finale vous pourrez lui ajouter un joli pompon.

Pour le réaliser il vous faudra entre 200 et 250 mètres de fil (pompon inclus). Pour ma version j’ai utilisé un fil sport mais suite aux retour de test je vous recommande plutôt une laine type fingering (il semble que j’ai tricoté mon prototype particulièrement serré).
Les différentes tailles sont obtenues en jouant avec les tailles d’aiguilles et l’échantillon.
