This 2 in 1 pullover / cardigan is inspired by the amazing Flame Bowerbirds. These colorful birds create beautiful nests and intricate love parades to attract their partners. To me they are some of the most creative creatures in the animal realm and I wanted to celebrate that with a beautiful sweater design that will challenge your skills and
your creativity.
Flame Bowerbird is worked from the top down, in the round. It features a stranded pattern worked in up to three colors in the same round all around the yoke and at the bottom of the body and sleeves. The sweater is then cut in the middle using a steek for the cardigan version, but you can also work it as a pullover, both versions are included in the pattern.
The pattern is available in 9 sizes from XS to 5X to fit a wide range of body types.

YARN Sherwood Yarn Bluefaced Leicester (Fingering: 100% BFL Wool; 420 yards (385 m) / 110 grams): Silver Birch (MC), 2 (3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 5, 5) skeins; Will (CC1), 1 skein; King’s Ransom (CC2), 1 skein; Lyncolne Grene (CC3), 1 skein.

The sample is modelled in size S with 2’’ / 5 cm positive ease.

Ce pullover / gilet 2 en 1 est inspiré par les superbes Oiseaux Jardiniers du Prince d’Orange (Flame Bowerbird en anglais). Ces oiseaux colorés créent de beaux nids et réalisent des parades amoureuses complexes pour attirer leur partenaire. Pour moi, ils font partie des créatures les plus créatives du règne animal et je voulais célébrer cela avec un beau modèle qui challengera votre technique et votre créativité.
Flame Bowerbird est tricoté de haut en bas, en rond. Il est fait d’un motif en jacquard avec jusqu’à trois couleurs tricotées dans un même rang tout autour du yoke et en bas du corps et des manches. Le pull est ensuite coupé en son milieu en utilisant la technique du steek pour le transformer en gilet. Mais vous pouvez également le tricoter comme un pullover, les deux versions sont inclues dans le modèle.
Le modèle est disponible en 9 tailles du XS au 5X pour s’adapter à tous les types de silhouettes.
