Working in a gauge commonly used in machine knitting, and only rarely by hand gives a result more perfect than you may have thought was possible!

The yarn helps too - pure cashmere is a delight to wear as well as to work with. You gotta try it at least once! (and no, cashmere wool blends don’t count)
You will use much less than one whole ball of each color. Leftovers from another project will work beautifully.
