Gauge:
20 sts & 30 rows = 4x4 in (10x10 cm) in stockinette stitch after gently blocking with 3 mm (US 2.5) needle.

I knit loosely, so you may need to use a different needle size to obtain gauge.

Needles: 3 mm (US 2.5) 40 cm/16” circular needle for the brim, or appropriate size to get gauge. 3.5 mm (US 4) or 4 mm (US 6) 40 cm/16 for the body. DPNs may work for the brim but could possibly be too short for the body of the hat.

Tools: marker, another set of DPNs or circular needles in 3 mm (US 2.5) or smaller for transfering live stitches from CO edge, cable needle.

Sample yarn: Cashmira Alize (worsted) 100g (3.5 oz)/300 m (328 yds) in two different colors, approx. 69 g in total, 30 g, 90 m(98.4 yards) of CC and 39 g, 117 m (127.9 yards) of MC for the smalest size.

This is a one-size hat. This hat should fit most adult and teen heads (52-57 cm). To obtain a smaller size for children use a gauge of 22 sts per 4 in (10 cm). To obtain a larger size use a gauge of 18 sts per 4 in (10 cm).
