A perfect gift for baby showers and new babies. Mommies will love it because it offers all the softness and comfort of a favorite blanket but small enough to be carried about. Hint: Older children love them too.

Fun flamingo starts with Provisional cast -on and knit in-the round, with the smaller needles, neck to beak. Provisional cast-on is retrieved and larger needles are used for body rows, knit-in-the-round, then wings-knit flat .

Techniques: provisional cast-on, knitting-in-the-round, short rows and french knots. If you run into trouble, pattern support is always just an email away.

At gauge finishes approx. 15” wing span.

Although the sample is made in DK weight, keep in mind worsted weight yarn can also be used for a larger Flamingo or sock weight yarn for a tiny companion. Just make sure its washable. DK weight yarn; 290 yds Pink, 30 yds White and 35 yds Navy.
