Flared Vest
This flowing handkerchief-style vest is knit in one large piece with cut out ovals for the arms. The decorative I-cord drawstring at the shoulder allows for adjustment in fit. The I-cord weaves through eyelets along the upper back and shoulders. The hem, front band and armhole borders are knit in garter stitch. The vest is knit at a loose tension to increase its drape. Wear it open, or close it with a shawl pin as shown.
Uses 16 inch and 32 inch circular US 5 (3.75mm) needles to accommodate the number of stitches. You will also need US 5 double points for the I-cord.
