This bear is BIG!!! He’s just over 24”

Advanced to beginner level pattern. This might be a beginner crochet tutorial if the crocheter is familiar with working in the round. This is a 10-page PDF with a LOT of pictures. I have a full photo tutorial on how to do the join as you crochet legs (no sewing!) Every single round is written out and easy to read.

US Crochet Terms.

Materials:

This Fleece bear as pictured requires at least 2 big skeins of Bernat Forever Fleece yarn.

You will need at least two big skeins of Bernat Forever Fleece yarn (9.9oz/280g/194yds/177m). This yarn is labeled a #6 Super Bulky Yarn. I used almost every single bit of yarn and only had the smallest ball left – so, there will be a possibility -if your tension is different than mine- that you will run out of yarn – BUT, in case this happens, I have given a helpful hint inside the pattern on how to work your bear so that you only need 2 skeins.

I encourage you to read through the pattern before beginning.

Since I didn’t have this yarn in black for the nose, I have used two strands of black held together of 4-ply worsted weight yarn (RHSS).

Additional Materials:
-Size I/5.5mm crochet hook
-stuffing (I use Poly-Fil stuffing)
-30mm safety eyes if you are using them
-large yarn needle for sewing
-I have used blush inside the ear to make it pink

Inc Sc: make two single crochet stitches in the same stitch as indicated
Invisible Decrease: inv. dec. – this is an invisible single crochet decrease
Hdc: Half double crochet
Dc: double crochet
Tr: treble crochet
Slip Stitch: sl st
FO: finish off
