Fletcher is a cabled beanie featuring bobbles with a double thick folded stockinette brim and thoughtful crown decreases. The hat makes the most of skein of the beautiful hand dyed yarn Merino Aran from La Bien Aimée. The original sample is knit in Romance, my personal favourite colour.

The cables and Pattern were inspired by one of my favourite fictional characters, Jessica Fletcher from Murder She Wrote. Jessica demonstrates throughout the series to be a woman who can accept change and embrace people of all types while being a strong individual with a clear sense of how to help others. Murder She Wrote has often served as a soothing balm for me and I hope this pattern makes you think of the strong kind women in your life you make the world better.

The Fletcher hat is the first in a series of four patterns that will use a common chart or charts to create unique garments. The Fletcher hat acts as a swatch cap for establishing your gauge for all of the other patterns in the set, except for the mittens.

The hat is a bit of a complex knit and requires you to follow two charts. I would not recommend this as a beginner knit but it is a delightful challenge for knitters of any level.

Please note the cables and crown are charted only.
