Bands of color and arrows highlight this unisex earflap hat which is worked in the round. Garter stitch is used for the earflaps, while the ties and top loops are done in I-Cord to complete the look.

Yarn: Cascade Yarns Cascade 220 Heathers (100% Peruvian Highland Wool; 220 yards 200 meters/100 grams): #9656 Burnt Sienna (MC) 1 ball; #9460 Dune (A), 1 ball; #8013 Walnut (B), 1 ball

Needles: US size 6 (4 mm): 16” circular; US size 6 (4 mm): 1 set DPNs

Notions: Stitch markers; tapestry needle

Special Stitches: Cable Cast On

Pattern Notes ~ To avoid puckering, carry colors loosely across WS of work. To eliminate working in ends, carry yarn color not in use vertically while working pattern. Catch yarn every few rows.

Earflaps are worked flat, top down; beanie portion of the hat is worked in the round, bottom up. Colorwork is charted.
