Fleur-lace
Worn like a scarf, this flowery necklace will brighten your wardrobe and protect your neck against chilly spring winds. The necklace is worked to double the neck circumference. It is folded in half to create a loop through which the ends are pulled to fit snugly around your neck.
Size: Circumference 13 inches (33 cm). Length: 13 inches (33 cm) from neck to end.
Materials needed:
- 1 skein (126yds/50g skein) DK weight for main color (shown: Universal Yarn’s Dolce Merino, color 412- Forest Green)
- 1 skein (126yds/50g skein) DK weight for flower (shown: Universal Yarn’s Dolce Merino, color 430- Rhododendron)
- 1 skein (126yds/50g skein) DK weight for second flower (shown: Universal Yarn’s Dolce Merino, color 427- Quartz Pink)
- 1 skein (126yds/50g skein) DK weight for third flower (shown: Universal Yarn’s Dolce Merino, color 429- Baroque Rose)
- 16 seed beads, size 6/0 to match main color
- 20 seed beads, size 6/0 to match all flower colors
Gauge: 18 rows (3 repeats of pattern) =4” (10 cm) in lace pattern after light blocking. Gauge is not crucial.
