RECOMMENDED YARN
at https://www.lolodidit.com
Body: 50 yards
Hat: 30 yards
Scarf: 10+ yards
You can use any lolodidit yarn base! As long as you have at least the yardage above of any weight.
This yardage has been tested on yarn weights of: fingering, sport, DK, and worsted.
I highly recommend using some type of fluff yarn. Molo or Alpaca Fluff are perfect to get a beautiful fuzzy halo.
GAUGE
When choosing a yarn and needle size, you’re going to want a dense fabric. That’s important for durability and keeping all the stuffing in. So when in doubt, go down a needle size.
These are suggestions for each weight:
Fingering - US Size 1 - 3 (2.5mm - 3.25mm)
Sport - US Size 3 (3.25mm)
DK - US Size 4 (3.5mm)
Worsted - US Size 5 (3.75mm)
FINISHED SIZE
The sample I knit (photo on page 1), was knit with USA DK and Alpaca Fluff held together on US Size 4 (3.5mm) needles for the body.
Finished size will vary depending on the weight of yarn and the needle size you choose. This is just to give you a reference.
Fingering - 2.75”
Sport - 3.25”
DK - 4.5”
Worsted - 5”
