Flicker Socks
Flicker Socks are worked toe up with a short row heel. The stitch texture, created by combining yarn overs and bind offs, really shows off hand dyed yarn, as it makes the colours move across the fabric like flickering flames.
YARN
Craft by Bella Sock Yarn (75% Superwash Merino, 25% Nylon; 400 m / 437 yds per 100 g/3.52 oz) in Kingfisher or an equivalent 4ply/ fingering weight yarn)
NEEDLES
2.25mm/ US 1 circular knitting needle 80cm/ 32” circumference
GAUGE
All measurements are taken after blocking.
10 cm x 10 cm/ 4” x 4” =
40 sts x 47 rounds in rib pattern
32 sts x 48 rounds in leg/ instep pattern
32 sts x 48 rounds in Stockinette

Intended to be worn with 2 — 3 cm / 0.75 — 1.25“ of negative ease.
