I started out with a pattern, but I read the pattern wrong. What a difference “wyib” can make when it should have been “ wyif” It is a completely different stitch pattern. It made the fabric roll instead of flatten, but it is incredibly warm as an infinity scarf, so that is okay with me.

Any even number of stitches can be cast on. Just determine the size you want your cowl/infinity scarf to be.

Use of contrasting colors in your yarn is best.

I measured gauge on the wrong side because it was easier to see the stitches. My infinity scarf measured a total of 100 inches.

Difficulty level: advanced beginner or intermediate
Skills: Use of a circular needle to cast on and bind off. Slip stitch (wyib), managing a large number of stitches for cast on and bind off. Carry the yarn you do not use along the first row.
