A fast, wintry hat to keep your head warm as you go about your day. Two sets of textured triangles mimic the flying geese motif so common in quilting. Add a pompom, or keep as is.

Social knitting notes: I highly recommend you complete the tubular cast on before bringing this to a social knitting event. Take time to focus, watch a tutorial (a link provided). You can substitute any cast on, but I really like the smoother, softer edge of the tubular cast on. The rest of the hat is great for social, tv, travel knitting - production knitting at it’s best.

One size, that fits the average human head (21-23”).
If you want to make this smaller or larger, instructions are provided for easy modifications.

This pattern actually looks great inside-out as well. Try it out before you tie off the ends. Knit from the bottom up, you can try it on as you go.

Yarn: 1 50 g (123yds/112m) skein of Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok Worsted. Sample shown in ‘No.11303 Highland Fleece’. Note - if you want to add a pompom, you will need to get more worsted yarn - a great opportunity for a pop of colour, use leftovers in your stash, or get more of this yarn.

Stitch markers (13 is ideal to help with making this as easy as possible for social knitting, with one being somehow distinctive for you from the rest for the beginning of the round)
