The stitch count is not that important with this particular pattern, so it doesn’t matter if you have a different count with different bags. Just be sure you know where the beginning and ending of your rows are. Stitch markers are your friends! Use them often.

If you wish to make a tighter stitch, it is better to get a thicker yarn, instead of a smaller hook. Using a smaller hook will SIGNIFICANTLY decrease the size of your bag.
