No-one can define the river. The only one that can define the other is itself. Life is the river. (Wake Up World).

Fljót means river in Icelandic and when you think of a river, you imagine the water flowing, shifting and changing direction. Life is just like a river, it changes, twists and turns as you grow; from its source until it reaches its journeys end meeting the ocean.

This simple shawl pattern has been designed to allow you time to practice mindfulness as you knit: to relax and not stress about life’s journey.

It’s a one skein project that would be perfect for those pretties in your stash that you just don’t know what to make with; and you will never run out of yarn as you work the increase until you have half of your skein left.

Yarn
Shown in Townhouse Yarns Fade St 4-ply ‘Troi’, (70% Superwash Merino, 30% Silk; 100 grams; 400 metres/437 yards). Pattern uses one full skein.
