From the front, the Floating on Waves Tank appears somewhat straightforward: Half-double crochet stitches make up the body with a touch of lace rippling around the hem. But turn to the back, and it’s another story: The main fabric cuts away to reveal more stunning lace. This tank is worked in two separate pieces and seamed.

NOTES

  • This top is worked in two pieces. The main body wraps around to the back and is worked from the bottom up, with shoulders seamed. The lace panel is worked from the top down, joins the bottom of the main body, and continues around the whole circumference. The lace panel sides are whip stitched to the inside of the back.
