The Flock Shawl is knitted using two weights of yarn to produce a lightly textured fabric. This version uses 4 ply and DK weight yarns, but other weights could be used for a different effect (this would of course change the gauge and final dimensions).

I actually used an indie dyer’s 4 ply yarn for this shawl but, having misplaced the label and therefore the name, I have listed Socks that Rock yarn as an excellent alternative. Really any soft 4 ply yarn can be used, as can any soft DK yarn for it’s partner.

This is a simple but interesting pattern, and excellent television knitting!!

The shawl measures 91cm x 150cm when blocked.
