Floddertje's Mitts
This is a bonus pattern for the February edition of the “Wolbeest warm feet club”.
A matching mitt pattern that grew when I was testing stitch patterns for the Peter’s Carrots sock pattern.
I knit mine using several dk weight yarn minis from my Adventsbox, and since those were 20 gram skeins I had to use a mix of them, making them nice and colourful!
The cuff starts with any two colour cast on that you like, and is knit with both colours in alternating rounds. The gusset has increases on only one side, giving the palm a nice smooth feel.
The pattern has 3 different sizes, so it’s very possible to use lighter or heavier weights yarn to get an average sized mitt. The ribbing and eyelet pattern uses a special stitch and helps in keeping the mitts stretchy. A photo tutorial is included to show how to knit the ‘knot’ stitch.
