This stylish wide brimmed floppy hat is super quick to make because the yarn is used double, and it is also very easy to make because single crochet stitch is used throughout. The thickness of the yarn and the texture of the stitch work together to give you a hat that looks structured, but one which can also be tucked away when not being worn without losing its shape.

The pattern is ‘one size fits most’ from tweens to adults.

You will only need two 4 oz skeins (100 g balls) of light worsted (double knitting/8 ply) yarn in the main color and an oddment of yarn in a contrast color (optional) for the braided band around the hat.

My patterns are written in plain English using standard US terms, which makes them easy to follow whether you are a newbie crocheter or you have many years of experience, but you can always message me if you have any queries about my patterns.
