The Flora bucket hat is a knitted bucket hat, made with two strands of yarn held together, one strand of DK weight wool and one strand aran weight boucle yarn. The hat is made by knitting the crown first, bottom up, and the picking up stitches for the brim.

This pattern is beginner friendly and contains descriptions and illustrations of the techniques used.

The hat is ONESIZE and fits a head circumference of about 54-56 cm/21-22 inches

Yarn: 100 g Järbo Curly (77% wool, 13% mohair, 10 % acrylic, ca 195 m/100 g – 213 yds /3.5 oz) held together with 50 g Järbo Astrid (100 % wool, 125 m/50g – 137 yds/1.8 oz)

Pictured hats are made with the following color combos: Astrid Natural white together with Curly Oat beige. Astrid Heather beige together with Curly sand beige.

Needles: 5 mm (US size 8) circular needles, 60 cm cable inc the needles (24” cable inc the needles) + 5 mm (US size 8) double pointed needles OR a longer cable to knit the decreases at the top using the magic loop method.

Extras: 10 stitch markers, preferably in different colors or shapes, scissors, sewing needles.
