Floral Crown Beanie
Beautiful textures and subtle colour changes all topped off with a gorgeous circle of petals on the crown; make this beanie a joy to make and to wear.
Materials:
Small quantities (less than 50g each) of 3 different colours of DK/Light Worsted weight yarn. Example made with James. C. Brett DK in Natural (A) and Marriners DK Yarn in shades of Sky (B) and Saxe (C).
4.00 mm Crochet Hook.
Large eyed tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
Finished Size/Gauge:
Finished size goes from 21 inches/53 cms unstretched to 24 inches/61 cms stretched, approximately, and will fit the majority of teenager and adult heads.
Gauge is not critical because of the ‘stretch factor’ if you would like a particularly large diameter hat then go up a hook size or two, bearing in mind that more yarn will be required. The length is easily adjusted by repeating the final round.
Method:
The Floral Crown Beanie is made from the top down starting with a magic loop and worked in the round, in one piece, to eliminate seaming.
Also available as part of the Hats, Hats, Hats! eBook.
