Florence The Elephant is a Crochet Doll using the Amigurumi technique. The PDF file contains a total 16 pages filled with detailed instructions and photos.

This Pattern is written using standard US terminology and there is a second file version in Brazilian Portuguese.

SKILLS
In my patterns, I give plenty of detailed instructions with pictures about every step and about special stitches used (if any). However, this pattern does not contain instructions for basic stitches and techniques, so in order to complete this project, it is recommended that you have previous experience in the basic process of making Amigurumi, such as: chain, single crochet in the round/in a spiral, single crochet increase, single crochet decrease (invisible decrease recommended), slip stitch, single crochet back loop only, stuffing, assemble and/or join parts together with the crochet hook as you go, hand sewing, fasten off.

FINISHED SIZE OF THE DOLL
Approximately 13” (33 cm) if you use the recommend material and meet the gauge.

GAUGE is not crucial for this project, unless you want your doll to have the same size as mine, then there is details in the pattern about what to do to meet gauge.
A swatch of 7 rounds in sc, the diameter is 2” (5.1 cm)

Rnd1: sc 6 in second ch from hook
Rnd2: (inc) 6 times 12
Rnd3: (inc, sc in next st) 6 times 18
Rnd4: (inc, sc in next 2 sts) 6 times 24
Rnd5: (inc, sc in next 3 sts) 6 times 30
Rnd6: (inc, sc in next 4 sts) 6 times 36
Rnd7: (inc, sc in next 5 sts) 6 times 42

YARN:
Feel free to crochet this doll with whatever yarn type and weight you wish, but keep in mind the finished toy size may be different, so please adjust the hook size as needed.

For the doll pictured, I used worsted weight (4) 24/7 Cotton yarn by Lion Brand. Available for purchase in 3.5 oz / 100 g, 186 yds / 170 m skeins.
Color 1: Silver. You will use approx 6.5 oz (185 g), 346 yds (317 m). You will need to buy two skeins.
Color 2: Pink. You will use approx 2.40 oz (68 g) / 128 yds (117 m). You will need to buy one skein.
