A lovely summer dress!
White granny-squares, so classy and summer fresh!
The “First Flower of the Year Square” is designed exclusively for this dress.

Dress it up or down; Cover-up on the beach, party-dress, or even a wedding dress!

Work the squares into a top, a tunic, or a dress in any length.
Easy mesh below the bodice.

Large squares, simple joining method.
You need 8 squares, and 4 half-squares for the bodice, and 7 squares for the hemline of the dress.
Optional chest-piece. Can be used also on back-piece, and/or in sides.

Materials:

Yarn:
Fingering /1 / group A / 3-4 ply.
100 % mercerized cotton, or any suitable yarn for this project, obtaining the gauge-info in instruction.

My yarn (Sample, size M): Ibiza, mercerized 100 % cotton.
50 g skein (1.8 oz), 125 m (137 yd)
WPI (Wrap per Inch): 19

Amount:
About 500 g (10 skeins) (17.5 oz), for full dress-length.

Sizes:
Small: US 6-8 - EU: 34-36 - UK/AU: 8-10
Medium: US 8-10 - EU 38-40 - UK/AU: 10-12
Large: US 10-12 - EU 40-42 - UK/AU: 12-14

Equal instructions for all sizes.

Hook:
2,5 mm (C/2) - 3,5 mm (E/4), depending on dress-size.
Yarn- and hook-size to achieve the square-measure you need for your size, is given in pattern-info.

Finished chest measures:

Size S:
Chest-circumference: 90 cm (35 “)

Size M (Sample):
Chest-circumference: 96 cm (38 “)

Size L:
Chest-circumference: 104 cm (41 “)
