Flores Gloria
The morning glory stitch is classy and complex. Two leaves framing a flower bulb all hanging down like flowers on the vine; but the stitch pattern is worked on right and wrong sides of the shawl requiring a bit of faith and counting to make sure stitches are lining up correctly. It’s just like watching the plants grow, with a little hope and lots of nurturing the flowers open into the sunlight!
The shawl can be made in three sizes: S, M, L
The pattern is given in full written and charted instructions.
Skill Level Intermediate: the shawl begins with lace stitches on right and wrong sides. It also includes double yarn overs, knitting in front and back of a stitch and decreasing on the wrong side.
Notes on Materials
450 yards for S
600+ yards for M
800+ yards for L

or
US 4 (3.5 mm) and US 6 (4.0 mm) circular/long needles
notions: tapestry needle, scissors, tape measure, blocking pins/wire, salvage yarn and stitch markers
The numbers given for yards/meters needed of yarn are averaged from test knitting: if you knit loosely add an extra 30 yards to your total just in case.
