Florescence
Florescence is a floral scarf / shawl in a bold palette; a go-to piece of wearable art. Florescence uses 25 colors of fingering weight and sock yarn. The centers are made separately first. The flower petals join the centers to the flowers beside it using a continuous crochet method. The design starts and ends in a bouquet of color with the center section in black and off-white. The simple chain edging brings the outer flowers into full bloom with picot clusters in the corners. Florescence uses only ch and sc.
Feel free to use as many or a few colors for your bouquet. Think stash buster.
Florescence won the 2017 CGOA Design Competition for Best First Time Design Entrant.
