Floret Shawl
Cold and rainy weather always has me reaching for something warm and comforting to wrap up in. This shawl is fairly dense, making it great for Winter. The textured rows add a gorgeous ridged look that follows the diagonal slant of the shawl.
We will be using the floret stitch for this project. It is an easy 2-row repeat that is beginner friendly.
I used one skein of Caron Lava Cakes (457 yards). It made a shawl that is 45” across the top and 23” long from the top to the point. I wanted to make one a little bigger, so I used 4 skeins of Impeccable Speckle yarn (640 yards). That one is 54” across the top and 27” long from the top to the point. Adjust the amount of yarn you use and the number of repeats you do to make the right size project to fit your needs.
Skill Level: Easy
Gauge: 12 st and 8 rows of repeats in 4” square
