This is a charted pattern for mittens. They have the same pattern on the front and the back so that there is no designated left or right mitten. Just knit 2 and you have a pair.

These mittens have a very long cuff that fits snugly to the wrist. The cuff will fit under your coat sleeve. The thumb is gusseted for a comfortable fit.
