You will need worsted weight yarn in the right colors: white, red, gold, and black (red heart super saver is perfect for these!). A size F/5-3.75 MM hook (or slightly larger if desired, but no larger than I). Some stuffing. And basic crochet knowledge: chain, slip stitch, single crochet, and sc2tog.

The pillow is made in four pieces: front, back, side, and the gold medallion. Attached together with simple sc stitches, making this the perfect crochet pattern for beginners, but still fun for the intermediately-skilled artist as well.
