Florissant – a hat for the whole family!

The Baby and Toddler sizes feature an easy rolled brim while the Child, Adult and Large Adult sizes have a hemmed edge. The hats are worked in the round from the bottom up to the crown shaping. The combination of knit and purl textures makes for fun and interesting knitting and the textures look great in solid, tonal or multi-colored yarns.

The term Florissant stems from the French verb “fleurir”, meaning to flourish or to flower.

Materials
Approximately 100(130-175-195-225) yards DK or Light Worsted weight yarn
Note: additional yarn is needed if making a yarn pompom.

Yarn used for the samples are Berroco Vintage Baby (#10012 Lagoon), Jody Long Ciao (#032 Parsley), Malabrigo Rios (#150 Azul Profundo) and Hue Loco Merino DK (Moss).
