Flow Up Socks
ENG
These socks are part of a collection that includes, in addition to socks, Mittens, Hat, and other garments.
The design is based on the growth of trees and I wanted to extrapolate it to a geometric design where the diagonals that ascend would stand out, generating a flow, always upward with all the internal force.
The expression of what I was looking for was through slipped stitches and a 1x1 cable where stitches are slipped and woven and that make the shape as open tree branches towards the ends.
The construction is from the toe up, with a star toe and a modified rounded afterthough heel with a gusset, to give it more comfort and a better fit.
The instructions consider that it will be done with circular needles with an 80 cm cable and using the magic loop technique.
NOTIONS:
- 80-120 meters (85 - 130 yd) of fingering weight sock blend fiber (20-35 gr) in 2 contrasting colors. Total 40 - 70 gr.
- 2.25mm circular needles or the size you need to get gauge, with 80 cms cable.
- 2 Removable stitch marker (padlock type).
- 2 small close round markers.
- 1 mt of waste yarn in fingering weight (ideally an slippy fiber).
- Tapestry needle to weave ends.
GAUGE:
36 ptos x 46 filas en 10x10 cm in the chart sts. on the round and wet blocked.
ESP
