This pattern actually combines knitting and crochet and there is a tutorial for the daffodil on my blog: fairislerona.blogspot.co.uk.
Its a good pattern for using up small batches of yarn and is fun to make. You can add a button fastening to the cosy or it can be stitched - just below the tea pot handle.
