Flower Bookmark
I knit these simple flowers to use up odds and ends of yarn; they have many uses including using them as page markers. The stem is a single crochet chain worked on a crochet hook, but you could use a length of ribbon or plaited yarn if you don’t know how to crochet. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the flowers are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).
NEEDLES
A pair of 4mm single pointed knitting needles (US 6).
RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; a few grammes in each colour.
NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, a 4mm crochet hook, and a button or small pompom for the flower centre.
SIZES
One size only - 4.5cm wide.
TECHNIQUES
For beginners and above, other techniques used include a little seaming and decreases.
