The beautiful and unpredictably changing colorways of Classic Elite’s Liberty Wool Paints inspired me first to design a scarf to show off these fabulous colors, but a scarf simply wasn’t enough. I wanted to bring some of the same design elements to a hat! For a bit of extra shape memory to the edge, smaller needles are used in the ribbing section. Plus the ribbing just looked better in a slightly smaller stitch.

The hat requires just a single ball of Liberty Wool and the scarf requires 3 balls, so having 4 balls will give you enough to make both the Flower Bud Hat and Scarf (pattern sold separately in my pattern store). I would suggest making the scarf first to get the stitch pattern down before making the hat, which uses the same stitch pattern but with decreases.
