You require two colors of yarn, one for the main background colour (B) and one contrasting colour (A).

Yarn weight: Aran (8 wpi 4-ply). Skein Weight: 16 oz. / 454 g. Yardage: 812 yd. / 742 m.

Gauge: 13.5 stitches in 10 cm (4”) by 6.6 rows in 10 cm (4”) in dc FLO or in filet mesh (dc1 and ch1).
Using a different gauge won’t affect the design, but it will change the finish size and the amount of yarn needed.

Hook 5 mm. Hook size needed to match the gauge.

Yardage approx. 3050 meters of Aran weight yarn for the main background colour and 2500 m for the contrasting colour. A total of 5550 meters of yarn.

The use of other types of yarn can greatly affect the amount of yarn needed.
